PJ Online goes live on Sift Unity
PRESS RELEASE
1st July 2008
PJ Online the leading online title for pharmacists published by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, has gone live on Sift's web content management and online community platform, Sift Unity.
The new website, launched on 1st July 2008, has already experienced an unprecedented take-up of its online services including jobs, access to an extensive library of pharmaceutical resources and community areas.
Sift worked with the key stakeholders within PJ Online through a series of in depth workshops designed to elicit to the data needed to inform the new website’s content, architecture and design. This unique and community centric approach means that the intended audience will be able to find the content they want more easily through intuitive and user-friendly navigation throughout the site.
Mike Thompson, Editor of PJ Online, says:
“PJ Online's primary objective is to give a first port of call to all pharmacists providing them with timely access to rich, must-have content, the sort of information they need to be successful throughout their career.
Sift’s experience with online communities together with their ability to provide guidance and advice in building an interactive, informative online presence has been essential in achieving the aims and objectives of this project. We are very proud of the result."
Ben Heald CEO at Sift, adds:
“PJ Online is a strong brand with a long history of working with pharmacists and pharmacy professionals. Like many niche B2B publishers they face the familiar challenges online brings. These can’t be addressed by a technology solution alone. Creating a successful online publishing model is much more about embracing change and understanding people than software. We have been delighted to work with all the stakeholder groups within PJ Online, including Management, Editorial and Sales. Today’s launch is an important milestone for PJ Online and we look forward to continuing to work closely with them in the future.
